Midnight Snack & Costco Pizza

Go Back?

Second blog and the second time I've found myself writing on here before the afternoon. I couldn't get myself to bed tonight at a good time and I was craving steak. Naturally I got up, bought a steak (and some cheese) from the store and got cookin'. It took a good bit of time more than I expected to get the steak and prep it, then cook it but after the fact I had a very nice late night snack with a cold can of Doctor Pepper (we respect the Doctor here.)

This year (in February) I started & stopped taking a weight loss aid which helped me lose 55 LB from February to May. I've since stopped taking the aid, and have been without it for just over a month. I had a minor problem with eating when I was bored- and probably still do- but as I was able to see what sub-healthy eating habits look like from eating 1 meal a day (if that) to now averaging about 2ish (maybe 2 and 1/2) meals a day. I wait for my stomach to tell me I need food, then eat and sleep happy knowing I'm eating in moderation. I've been a little discomforted about the effort I put into this little (not so little) midnight snack of mine and I've come to a conclusion. While it's not something I should imbibe every night, a little treat like a good steak and a Crisp Cold Can of Doctor Pepper (not sponsored) once in an orange moon (the moon was orange when I went shopping) is okay.

Moderation is key.

This may show my taste for the unhealthy, but I feel a duty has been granted to me to share good things. Management got us pizza today. We get one every other payday! It's very kind of them. When management gets pizza, they go for Costco pizza. Now if you've never had a fresh slice of Costco pizza you're missing out. That said, I have a Costco pizza secret. I enjoy dipping my pizza in Ranch Dressing, it's a byproduct of peoples taste in my past coloring my tastes today. Costco pizza dipped in the ranch brand I prefer (not good enough to warrant free advertisement) is good, but Costco pizza dipped in the ranch you can get from Wingstop? Completely next level.

I guess that's your mission! If you have the means to, try a slice of Pepperoni Costco Pizza dipped in Wingstop ranch. Maybe it's the best thing you'll ever taste, maybe it's aweful. One thing is for sure: It's worth trying!

Anyhow. Alas, as I had my snack last night and a few slices of pizza today, I feel my food consumption quota has been met.

In other words, I find myself growing steadly enamored with working on this website. I need to remember to pratice moderation however, as due to my snack last night and putting in an hour or so of work toward the site, I managed only 2 hours of sleep. Usually that means I am dead the whole day and collapse either onto my couch or my bed when I get home. Today, however, I find myself relitavly full of energy. I haven't touched an energy drink or perish the thought coffee... Eugh. I don't like coffee... Hot chocolate is quite tasty though.

Last thing I want to touch on before I find an excuse to continue blathering on, I think I've been using the site more as a journal other people can read rather than a place for my thoughts. It's nice to get my thoughts out. I think the medium is helping- I've always wanted to build my own website- and having only been messing with this for about 3, maybe 2 days is very entertaining
