A Rough Start, but Half Way Through It

Go Back?

Good morning, friends! I am incredibly tired today. I got a solid 7-ish hours of sleep last night, but while I am sleepy tired- my fatigue isn't sleep related. I don't exactly know why I feel tired, but the good news is the work week is already half over! Two days from today makes friday, and friday means sleeping in the next moring!

Be that as it may, lets get into some good things and away from the draining ones.

I watched an intresting video yesterday, and I feel like using the advice it gave will be beneficial to me! The video in question goes into what I would call a mental exercise in self acceptance. It encourages you to "Name your brain" (They named theirs Kevin), and to talk to him when he acts weird. Like, when you get those thoughts that tell you:

"The staff at the pool are stairing at you, and you in particular because you're doing something wrong."

You can respond to that thought like so:

"No, Kevin, It's becasue they are being paid to make sure all people in the pool don't drown, but thank you for your concern."

That sort of thing. The video says it's important to be kind to your brain because it- he is a part of you. A noisy roommate you can't get rid of. I agree, and I hope that putting that sort of thinking into pratice is a good thing! Even if responding out loud to your mind makes you seem crazy.

Moving away from that topic, Monday and tuesday were farily standard as far as Mondays and Tuesdays go for me. I worked extra at my second job monday, and went swimming at the usual time I do tuesday. Though, I do feel I probably need to find better swimming exercises rather than just laps.

Another exercise that google says is supposedly good to get into is Tai Chi. I'm hesitant to 100% believe that, but I won't say it's a negitave habit to have. I've been tempted to try it out, but I have absolutely no clue how I'd get started.
