Good Morning, and Happy New Year!
I hope you enjoyed the Christmas Eve to Christmas Day to New Years true combo that knocked a lotta people out of work for a buncha time in a row.
Special shout out to those who worked during those dates; Those who were scheduled to work those dates but didn't; Those who were scheduled to work those dates but couldn't because of the flu :/
I got to experence a true combo of my own. As I said in my last blog I got sick. First it was a cold then pink eye. As of today, I am through the pink eye, and only mildly conguested with ocasional coughs. Special shout out again to the epic people at the urgent care I went to cuz they were all super nice to me and super epic
Now, onto the fun thing that people do every year: New Year's Resolutions! I've got three big ones. The first two are sort've whatever, but the last one is a secret so don't tell anyone:
1. Write More. Just generally do more writting. I know I can milk 300 pages of a story out of me, I know it's possible
2. Start Collage. Sources say I should've done this ages ago, as in when I graduated High School but... Ehh. Now's the best time to start something new.
3. Get a new Job. I do not like the main job I currently hold, and while it pays the bills, I think it's time to move on. I've been where I am for over a year, and I feel like the only direction I can go from here is none of them. No room for growth.
The goals above aren't game changing, I've already done things this year that most attribute to new year's resolutions like joining a Gym. I did that yesterday. Got a Planet Fitness membership and I'll be going at least twice a week. The plan is to do a lotta cardio there, like Treadmill and what not. I've been with them before and it's a good gym for your avrage Joe like myself.
I really wanna focus on writting more. For school, I'm going because I want to and because It shouldn't break my bank to do so. I don't know what career I wanna do, and having started working pretty much right out of highschool, I've "Fallen Behind" those who started school and/or went into a trade.
Ultimatly, I'd like to write. Speciffically books. I love writting and world building, but when someone asks me "What's your dream?" I never answer that I'd like to be an author. I think it might be a result of knowing how unlikly it is to suceede in that landscape, but I've never been sure. Author sounds wonderful, but I can't say it's my dream career without having a little knot in my throat that tells me it's not the full truth.
For the time being, I can begin working on my generals and talk to advisors to maybe find a career field that can enable me to have a good life doing something I don't mind! Phew! That's enough from me for today, though. I'll see y'all on the flipside
